Symptoms
Symptoms of rosacea appear several times. The disease has many common symptoms, but not everyone experiences all possible symptoms.
Common symptoms include:
flushing
constant reddening
blisters and rash
blood vessel appearance
thicker skin
eye irritation
These symptoms are described in detail here.
flushing – temporary redness
Flushing is usually the first sign of rosacea in which your skin turns red. It occurs from childhood to early adolescence. Flushing (flushing) rounds can last up to five minutes.
Many times the mouth becomes red due to rapid changes in body temperature in adult life. This problem can also be caused by exposure to strong sunlight, hot drinks or exercise.
This redness can spread to your neck and chest and you may feel an uncomfortable warmth.
red face
The most common sign of rosacea is a persistent red face. This redness looks like a patch or rash of sunburn that does not go away or a skin rash that is associated with drinking too much alcohol.
This can be quite troubling for people with rosacea because people may think of them as drinking large amounts of alcohol.
This redness usually affects the cheeks, nose and chin but can spread to the forehead, neck and chest. Sometimes the skin may become dry, flaky or swollen.

view of vessels
If you have rosacea, you may experience irritation of the small blood vessels on the surface of your skin.
This causes your skin to turn red and your vessels to become permanently dilated and visible (thread veins). The medical name for visible veins is telangiectasia.
rash and blisters
If you have rosacea, you may also have:
rash – small round bumps that rise from your skin
pustular swelling
These spots will appear on your face and can be like the acne or acne of adolescence. This is called ‘acne-rosacea’ but these two conditions are different.
In rosacea, there are no blackheads (small clogged pores) and the skin is not sticky, but rather dry and scaly. Rosacea spots do not leave marks.
skin thickening
In more severe cases of rosacea, the skin, usually around the nose, may thicken and excess tissue may form. This makes the nose appear thick, puffy. It is called Rhinophyma.
Rhinophyma is a rare and extreme condition of rosacea and takes many years to develop. It is more in men than in women.
